Skateboard Heat Transfer Sizes & Coverage
The correct transfer sheet is based on the deck you intend to print—not a one-size-fits-all garment format. Street decks typically use a narrow full-length graphic, while longboards and specialty boards can require substantially more width or length.
Common format planning
| Deck type | What to plan for |
|---|---|
| Street skateboard | Full bottom coverage plus bleed outside the finished deck outline |
| Wide / old-school skateboard | Extra width for larger noses, squared tails and shaped rails |
| Longboard | Longer sheet and enough width for the actual longboard silhouette |
| Balance board | Transfer sized to the custom deck footprint and graphic coverage |
| Partial graphic / logo | Smaller placement can be quoted when full-deck coverage is not required |
Why bleed matters
A full-bottom graphic should extend past the finished deck edge. The transfer is positioned on a three-dimensional object, so a little extra artwork around the perimeter provides production tolerance and prevents a visible unprinted strip.
Not sure what size to use?
Send the finished deck length, widest point and a top-view outline or photo. If Empire is also manufacturing the deck, the transfer can be planned around the production deck specification.
